I can't wait to talk to you on Monday! -- July 5

MOMMY!!
Happy Fourth of July to you, too! Actually that is probably a bigger deal to you, because it was kind of just a normal day for me haha! The Lord's work doesn't rest! But actually, after classes we had a cool little devotional about religious freedom and then at 10 pm we got to watch the fireworks coming from the Stadium Of Fire concert for BYU! Oh, it was so cool, we had the perfect view from our window. But don't worry, we celebrated accordingly last night after our day was over and had a huge German party in our residence. I made sure to run the torch down the hallway (Dallin's bday party in high school was my inspiration) to begin the party. It was hilarious. Dad would be proud to know that it started at 9:22 on the dot.

Sounds like your week went super well! It was cool to hear about your trip to Spain, it sounds like you really rocked it. I'm so so proud of you for doing that all on your own- you don't even realize how capable you are until it's kind of your only choice! But you're my mom, so that's no surprise to me.

You did tell me about the wig thing, that is awesome! I love the pictures you sent. [I am making crocheted yarn wigs for little cancer fighters through The Magic Yarn Project!]

I just got the converter set, thank you! I'm sure it'll be helpful, but I hope I won't go over on weight because they are decently heavy! Plus, my books alone are like 8 pounds. Man, I think I can only pack like one dress and a sock to make sure I have everything else... (haha kidding. very kidding)

This week has been pretty good. I'm still learning lots but I'm definitely getting ready to go! If I'm being completely honest, I don't know that it was the best week I've had here. Well, I can take that back because the past couple of days have been AWESOME! But I kind of felt like I hit a wall and wasn't really progressing with the language, and it was very frustrating. I didn't know what else to do. I prayed and prayed and read my scriptures and it just seemed like anything I did I didn't have the spirit with me when I was in my lessons. Our lessons this week have been better, and I know this week has just had a few growing pains. Don't worry, I'm still probably the most happy, energetic person here haha. Okay, everyone is, but I'm definitely the only morning person!

Devotionals were good this week, we had mission conference on Sunday! President Martino asked a certain question and I stood up and answered! No lie, speaking in a microphone to the mission president in front of like 1600 missionaries is a bit intimidating hahah!

Today was kind of the whole highlight of the week! I GOT TO HOST NEW MISSIONARIES! Seriously, it just brought all of my joy out. We actually requested to host last week, and they said they didn't need us. But we kind of didn't take that for an answer and begging our way into getting to! The guy in charge thought we were funny for wanting to spend our precious pday helping new missionaries. I helped a sister from Scotland, one from New Zealand and two others from the crazy exotic place of Utah! I just chatted their ears off and talked all about how much I love the MTC. I'm a firm believer that if you go in telling yourself you're going to love the MTC, you will. It's all about your attitude for it.

I'm so excited to get a package from you, even if it is small! It may not seem like a big deal to you, but I know that will make my entire day when I get that from you! A million times, thank you! I'm so excited to get it!

I love you mom, I can't wait to talk to you on Monday! And just think, the next time I email you, I'LL BE IN GERMANY!!!!!
I love you a million packages from home!
Love, Sister Ingalls
Not too many pictures this week!
Face mask night! It was so hard not to laugh because our half dry masks looked like camo!
Hot air balloons everywhere last Saturday and on to celebrate the fourth!
Non-edited pic of us, but I like our July 4th card better!
