Another great week in Zwickau!! This past week has been super busy and we have found a lot of success! Here are some of my favorite moments:
Top 5:
1. We went by to drop off a birthday present to Sis. Jähnert (a member) and she was sitting outside making Lavendel Kolben! She ended up teaching us how to make them, and I totally butchered the entire thing. I probably should have hung around my mom a bit more when I was a kid instead of the mud puddles... But it was fresh lavender from her garden (of course) and you weave ribbon through it! It was pretty fancy, and so fun to get to know her and her family better. I'm definitely giving that craft thing a second try though.
2. One night we had an especially busy night and on the way to the last appt. it just started pouring rain. At first we were thinking about the 20 minute walk and showing up to this house completely soaked, but then I flipped up my hood and just sprinted down the street. We ended up getting there with a few minutes to spare and had a good time laughing about how ridiculous we probably looked. I learned a little life lesson though, pretty much any situation can be turned into a fun and memorable moment if you just find the good in it :-)
3. With Sister Grisham being new, we have a fair amount of online training she has to do on the computer at the church over the next 12 weeks. We spent a few hours doing that and decided we needed a break. We went outside and turned on some music (The Mulan soundtrack is in GERMAN!!!) and got a few pictures. The one I'm sending is hands down (literally..!) my favorite. It was in the process of me tripping like usual, my shoe flying the other way, and Sister Grisham trying to catch me. Needless to say, it was a pretty memorable 5 minutes.
4. One of our investigators told us he wants to be baptized on October 24th!! It was totally cool, and a bit unexpected!! It'll be awesome as a very new companionship to help to prepare our friend to be baptized! He has a lot of progress to make, but I'm so so SO excited that he has the desire!!
5. I've spent a lot of time pondering a certain scripture this week in Alma 7. At the end of the chapter it says that we can ask God for whatever we need, both temporal and spiritual, and when we get it, thank Him! I love that our Heavenly Father is there for us, and cares about even seemingly trivial things! Thank Heavenly Father today for your blessings! He loves you so much!
Love y'all!!!
