Man, I Have Been in Neukölln For Forever! - Sept 2

Mom!!!
Those pictures were so awesome, hahah I loved them so much! Thanks for sending, they always make my entire day :) The boys look so cute and happy! I know they get crazy, but that is a major accomplishment to actually get all of them to smile in a picture, and it didn't even look forced! Must have been after the food when they were all saat... what is that word... satisfied? Like after you eat your food you aren't hungry anymore? I really don't remember that word that's funny haha. But they looked nice and happy and that makes me happy.

No cat.

I feel for those elders SO much! And it's so hard because that is critical day of the week because all of the members are right there to talk to. But you also know that in 24 hours, you can lay in your pjs, take a nap and no stress. That is a hard temptation! Nah, Sunday is the best! It's just kind of the epitome of enduring to the end.

Man, that took forever and a half to figure out that BYU stuff. I'll try to write good and quick but we still have to go get groceries and stuff.

We had a really good week! The best is that we are really working hard to find joy in the work. That's what our zone leader really wants the zone to focus on is putting both feet in the mission and just having joy doing it. You know, I think I felt joy my whole mission, but I almost looked at it like a business trip. We just had a blast and it is our life! We were laughing, having a good time, trying different fun ways to talk to people on the street, teaching using a playground, serving the members, etc etc etc. I really love this work so much.

Ahhh I feel like I'm too worried about making this a good email that it isn't a good email eeek! Sorry.

I was thinking like how are the boys going to be able to come out to visit during school but I realized they are old and grown up and graduated! That's really cool. I hope you get to have lots of fun with them and they take the cat back so that I can have my rightful place as princess of the house! Haha oh I kid, I'm sorry. The cat is adorable and she can stay.

Wooohooo wedding! That's cool they aren't rushing, they have time. Is Logan just not sure if she is the right one? I hope he doesn't feel pressured because they've dated for a long time or something. God has a plan and will lead him to the person he needs and she needs, he just needs to ask God and make sure Brianne is that person in the plan! Also, Sister Barker and I are doing another no sweets transfer, so IF the answer is yes, I'll totally be in like, tip top shape! Haha no but I have been feeling better though. My body was getting a lot of its energy from sugar so its weird to not eat it. It kinda got me thinking about how much I love nutrition...

Ooooh I'm so jealous of all of this family time, especially with the extended family! Tell everyone that I love them and I'd love to be there to jump on everyone and take the kids to the park, but I'm very happy loving the people here for now! P.S. for introductions at our first district council, I said one of my favorite hobbies was learning about cars from Grandpa! He's special!

Something super funny. These two American girls visited one of our favorite member friends Inga this weekend, and they came to church. We translated for them via calling Inga and using her headphones, it was so cool! I love translating. BUT one of them was really cute and just super fun and lives in Provo, so I totally asked her to go on a date with Tanner! She said yes!! Man, it is so easy to get referrals from members when it involves boys or something. Anyway, I'll pass that info on to Tanner, but I thought you'd find it pretty funny. She's so cute! But I was lowkey and just committed her to 1 date. We shall see.

Other than that, it was a pretty normal week! I love it. Man I have been in Neukölln for forever but its really good. I feel very close to these members like I can trust them with anything and they are just my family. Especially with choosing to really serve them this week. I can see when we go the extra mile, their hearts are softened even more and they trust us. I love member missionary work!

Exciting thing, I have been looking for this for legit 2 months, since August and I finally found it! I got a 5 year one-line-a-day journal! A couple of sisters have them and I really like them. But what I wanted to do with it is follow the counsel of President Eyring in that I write how God's hand has been in my life that day. I've been doing it in my notes since I got the idea, so I already have a month or so (these journals are just really hard to find!). I really like the idea, and I think if I did that every day for 5 years, I would a.) not lose my faith and b.) see how much my faith grows! Its a cool concept. I have thought about writing it in German but I'm not sure, I kind of want other people to be able to read it! We'll see. what do you think of my idea? :)

I love you a million member visits!!!!
Love, Sister Macey Ingalls

P.S. I'd like to add my testimony to yours that I've found that a happy life is centered on Jesus Christ. His teachings, whether he or his prophets gave them, lead us through life back to Heavenly Father. The happiness comes in applying them. I can promise anyone that they will be happier when they obey the commandments of God. Jesus Christ is our resurrected Savior and He makes it possible for us to live again as well. Physically, through Him we will overcome death. Spiritually, through Him we are spiritually reborn. Every mistake, every feeling of hopelessness or anxiety or fear or worry, can be erased through the Atonement of Jesus Christ if we only let Him. No wonder I tearfully sing the song "I Stand All Amazed!" I am truly amazed at what he has offered us. I am amazed of his unending love he has for his little flock, and he will never leave us.

Please share with the ward my love for them, excuse my bad grammar and give my testimony with yours that this is Jesus Christ's living Church on the Earth. Think for a minute how amazing that really is. We are a part of the very Son of God's church. I’m honored and humbled to be a part, and to serve others so that they may come and join his flock as well.
