I just love being a missionary, ya know?!
1. After an intense game of soccer last week, Sister Baldock found a huge bug bite on her ankle. Little did we know this "cheeky rascal" of a bug would put her out for the week! Funny thing is we send pictures to a couple of members saying it was probably a bear or snake or sister Barker or something and they BELIEVED us!! Haha it was hilarious.
2. We checked out the college campus this week and it was super cool! It was a really good spiritual time. We made some new friends! Talking to people on the street is like ripping off a face mask, like its kind of painful at first but then its so enjoyable and worth it! 💁♀️
3. Transfer calls came and I get a 5th in Neukölln!! I'm so excited to work with Sister Barker and these amazing people. #somanymiraclescoming
4. Last night I was reading Alma 11 where Zeezrom bribed Amulek with "6 onties" to deny his faith. I always wondered how much that would be... so I mapped it out. It was mindblowing! This judge offered him 42 days worth of his pay (we guessed somewhere around $8,000) to deny the existence of God, and without blinking he turned it down. Its a good reflecting point: would we do the same?
5. I've been studying humility lately, and at the end of my study I just take 10 minutes to pray and ask God what he needs me to do that day. Let me tell you, its a humbling experience, because he lets me know! It's led to some changes in plans, service opportunities, and even chances to admit I'm wrong and apologize. Thank goodness God is willing to work through imperfect people. 😊
