1. I learned something this week... Those little white "octopus things" that we found in cute little old lady's garden were actually tulip bulbs. Hah- we totally undid all of the planting she did the week before! But we fixed it and laughed the whole time so it was alllllll good. Afterwards she fed us lunch a.k.a. a Thanksgiving feast for 10. Very delicious food, but it was just SOOO much!!
Feeling the Spirit- in Persian?๐ค
2. We set up an appt. with Amir this week and included the Persian elders in to translate! I could hardly believe it- Amir's countenance (and vocab! He's super quiet) COMPLETELY changed because he was able to speak Persian. The elders asked a bunch of questions to understand where he was at, and then they relayed back to us that he believes it ALL for himself! He has his own testimony that it's true, and has even prayed about the Book of Mormon and gotten an answer that it is true! He's ready to make progress! It really is such a miracle to have translations, because we never would have been able to know how he really felt about all of this. It was one of the most spiritual lessons that I've ever had, and I didn't even understand half of it!
Painting the Town Blue๐⭕๐⭕๐
3. We took Janina "finding" with us in Hohenstein with the district this weekend and she totally rocked it!! We gave it our absolute all and found a bunch of solid contacts for the Hohenstein elders!! We talked to this man who was very hard hearted about anything religious, but I felt that I should share the Book of Mormon with him. I read a scripture and gave the strongest testimony which was in me. I told him that he could know if it was true too, by simply asking God. We saw his eyes completely soften and he took the book and told us he would pray about it. "Finding" has actually become one of my favorite things now, but I like to call it "painting the town blue" (get it? cuz the BofM is blue? hahahah dang, I'm funny)
HER FIRST KLINGEL SHE IS SO DANG CUTE AWHHHH
Me, G and Janina: just protecting future generations with strumpfhose!
I could add 4. and 5. but this email is already long enough..! We really gave it our all this week and saw the blessings from it! We found a lot of great contacts and we are soooo excited to start working with them this week! I really feel that I've found my passion in missionary work and I LOVE IT!!! I can't believe that I already hit 5 months tomorrow..! I love you all, and take the chance to hug your Mom this week because I sure wish I could!!
A selfie to forget how cold we were while waiting for Samuel ๐จ
