1. Sister Hansen and I picked up our turkish comps on Tuesday, and just on the way back they were able to talk to so many Turkish people! Then we got to work putting the IKEA bed frames for them together. Yes, that's right, IKEA. The Elders said they did it the night before in about 30 minutes, so what did Sister Ingalls do? Yes, challenged them that we could put it together faster! HAHA oh yeah I was definitely humbled... I won't say how long it took, but I'll definitely say we accomplished it in under 4 hours.. 😂 #thanksIKEA 2. Distrikt(zilla)! We made history by being the first apartment of 4 sisters in the mission, but we now also have a record huge distrikt of 14 missionaries. Our distrikt is as big as another zone! Needless to say, its a party all the time! It's very cool though, because we have a total of 8 languages in our distrikt including English (duh), German, Turkish, Spanish, Persian, Arabic, Finnish and Swedish! The prophesy in the scriptures is being fulfilled that every person will have the chance to hear the gospel in their own language! 3. Fam, my new companion, Sister Baldock, is AMAZING! I love her with all my heart, might, mind and strength (yeah a little D&C 4 amiright) We've seen so many miracles. We visited a contact we just got and found her doing not good at all. She needed someone right then and there. We talked with her, brought and cooked soup and just helped her feel loved again. She was so grateful, and I felt so much love for her even though I didn't understand them speaking in Turkish most of the time. I left the house feeling that we'd done our part that day to listen to King Benjamin's teachings, in that we should "mourn with those that mourn, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort." I hope that we all follow that inspired decree, and help someone this week to feel their Savior's love, because it is indeed there for all.
Getting in a workout playing soccer with the District!
