1. Watching the Lord work miracles
I got the chance to bring the wonderful sister Oliphant to Neukölln this week and man, is she great. She brought miracles with her. Meeting with Sabrina was definitely the highlight. This lovely lady is openly searching for the truth. She is so sincere in her search, and God is blessing her for it. We met at a recent convert's house, and she was showing us pictures, and eventually got to a picture of her in front of the temple with a friend. She told us the amazing story of doing her father's temple work. We had no idea she had this experience, but she was able to completely relate to Sabrina, who also lost her father. It was really touching, and I know that God brought them together.
Sister Oliphant! We came out of a lesson and suddenly TORRENTIAL RAINPOUR
2. The members
Germans are my favorite but German church members are my favorit(er?) Every time I get transferred, I think there is no way I can possibly love the next ward more but I literally feel God's giving His love to people through me. I LOVE this ward, they are strong, good people that want to love God and keep His commandments. For example, pictured below is Inga, who thinks its the FUNNIEST thing to wear my tag and cover up the "lls" so we are twins. We also bought matching shirts, so we are basically twins. She's so strong and has helped us so much.
Inga!
3. There is never a dull moment!
A busy day can be described in a screenshot of a missionaries Area Book daily planner! It isn't always about running around checking stuff off the list, but rather really caring and trying to do what God would have you do. Hence a nice, peaceful pday to finally take a nap turned into an exciting phone call from the office saying that the Turkish missionaries are being evacuated and coming to Germany, and we had 24 hours to turn our cozy apartment into a 4 man! Let's just say, I was thrilled because A. MORE SISTERS DUH and B. I LOVEEEE throwing away the weird stuff in missionary apartments. Legit found a random toilet seat in a closet today?! 😂 We are so excited to welcome the 18ish missionaries tomorrow, wish us luck this week!! #seriouslyneverdull
Family Home Evening!
(Inga)lls sandwich 😉
Long live the Straight outta Neukölln squad 😎
Germany in one picture...
Picnic with the Chloe and Thomas!! Yes. You are seeing that right and we are using
pizza boxes as plates because this country doesn't believe in disposable 😂
Okay the list should go on and on, but we gotta go like, turn a closet into a bedroom. #missionlifebestlife I know that joy, peace and truth are found in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I love encouraging people to think and search, knowing with surety that God will give them what they need. Love you all!
Hey P.S. I'd love an update on you all! I'd love to hear about you (cuz tbh I think I'm getting progressively boring with these emails so I'd rather hear from you!)
