Embarassing Moments Make the Best Memories - April 16 (Group Email)

I predicted right last week, and this week was insane! #survived
Probably the most scenic picture I took this week hahah
1. Because of the 4 week transfer, zone conference included HALF of the mission! It was good to see friends and learn together. Sister Hansen and I did a workshop that involved throwing lots of paper and I think it went pretty well!

2. Sister Wood (a fellow Arabic learner!) came to Neukölln with me for the day and we worked HARD! Our goal was to act on every prompting and talk as much Arabic as we could! Well, I felt we should talk to this flower shop lady, so I was waiting a minute while she talked to a customer and I totally DUMPED water from a whole row of flower pots all over me! I was SOAKED! 😂 You know you're a missionary when your first thought is, "yes, this is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation!" The lady was awesome, we actually understood some of her Arabic, and she said she wanted to meet with us! AND she gave us free flowers! I'd dump water on myself all over again for that, is was a good, good day.
I forgot my nametag today so we were both Sister Hansen 😂
3. Our special conference with Elder Rasband was AMAZING! He answered questions and counseled us how to be bold missionaries, focused on our purpose and not simply taking no for an answer! I did learn a personal lesson too.. He was asking rhetorical questions and we were raising our hands, but I guess the next one was not, and he decides to call on me, sitting in the front row. I was SO shocked I couldn't say anything! With mouth wide open I stammered "uhh I don't know!" Embarrassing.. But its all good, because the European Area Presidents wife asked our mission presidents wife, Sister Fingerle, to tell me its okay, she would've done the same thing too...
I SAW SISTER GRISHAM AGAIN!!😭😭😭😍😍😍
4. Elder Rasband also did a conference for the Berlin stake (seriously how lucky are we?!) and 4 of our friends came, including Killian! He sat by another investigator, and at the end, they both decided they wanted to be BAPTIZED! IN 2 WEEKS! Sister Fingerle (love that woman) found out and parted the red sea right up to Elder Rasband and they told him they wanted to be baptized! He put his arms around them and said, "That's great boys, do it for the right reasons!" They are pumped, we are pumped! Unfortunately, we are giving Killian to the Elders to be taught, but that doesn't dim the excitement of his choice one bit! YAY!

Sis De Soto on exchanges!💕
5. Sabrina came too, and toward the end of the meeting, I just felt like she needed to meet elder Rasband. I prayed and prayed hard, and felt reassured she'd shake his hand. At the end, they announced that he only had time to shake the kids hands. I was disappointed for about .04 seconds, then I remembered that less than 24 hours before, Elder Rasband had just counseled us to not take a no so easily! I grabbed Sabrina by the hand and made our way through the crowd and stationed us right in the aisle he'd walk down. As he passed, I said, "Elder Rasband! This is Sabrina! She's searching for the truth!!" He turned around, shook her hand and asked her if she felt the Spirit in the meeting! It was so cool, I just know she will find it soon!

Sorry this is a novel already, Be bold and kind and happy this week!
