This week was one of those that I just think "where do I even begin?!"
1. We officially took over Hof, an area in Bayern! We got to check it out this week and it is BEAUTIFUL! We felt like we were in a different country, the accent is different and almost everyone is religious, whereas the majority of east Germany is atheist.
2. Thursday ended up being completely full of service! There were a couple families that all lived on the same street and we did loads yard work, practiced a music number for my last Sunday and taught one family how to make American cookies! It was so fun, the members here are awesome.
3. We did a ton of talking to people on the streets this week, that's always one of my favorites! We felt like we gave so much but nobody really wanted to listen. Then today, just while getting some groceries, a man overheard us talking in the checkout line and introduced himself. He's from Georgia! He was so excited to see some friendly American faces in a small town. We ended up talking to him and his wife and kids for awhile, and they asked us to come over and share our message! Best shopping trip EVER! God definitely led us to each other, that was no small miracle to us.
4. Another tender mercy, one of our friends came to church this week and brought 2 more friends! We had an awesome gospel principles class for them and they are all so prepared to learn. They've had such hard stories, and it is so incredible to see how their faith in Jesus Christ has kept them going. He really is there to strengthen everyone that comes to Him.
5. Reading in 1 Nephi 17 one day this week, I loved the words the Lord spoke to Nephi after asking him to do a hard thing: "I will also be your light in the wilderness". Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Even in cold, dark Germany, I feel His light radiating through every fiber of my soul, strengthening me to do hard things!
With love, Sister Ingalls
