Where in the World is Wurzen? - (Oct 30 - Group Email)

Lovely friends and family,
Needless to say, it was a VERY eventful week!
1. On Wednesday, we loaded up a backpack for the day and headed to Hof! Sadly it was raining and freezing cold the whole time, but that didn't stop us! We went by and introduced ourselves to every member we had information on. It was awesome and we met most of them. They were so excited to see that missionaries were back! We collapsed at the end of the day and didn't even think about how many kilometers we walked... It was so worth it and so fun though!
2. We had so many miracles on Thursday, it was incredible. We really needed someone to come with us to a lesson, we felt like we asked the entire ward! Last minute it worked and we had an amazing lesson with two of our friends that came to church on Sunday. It was such a spiritual experience, they love the Book of Mormon and how they feel at church. They even read all weekend when we were slightly M.I.A. (I'll explain!) and didn't check up on them. They are so good, God loves them.
3. Hah funny story. In a matter of 14 hours, our whole weekend got flipped. We broke our phone early in the morning running to the train station because our tram was late. Broken phones and being a missionary do not work well together!! But it was all good, and we made it to zone conference on time, no sweat. Leaving, our bus got us to the train right on time and we slipped in just as the doors were closing. Awhile later, we hear that we're arriving at the end station... what?! We were so confused, forced to get out at a place called "Wurzen". We had absolutely no clue what happened or where we were, then we saw the train schedule board: we had gotten on the wrong train. We were in the middle of nowhere and we're now going to get home at midnight, so we went back to Leipzig and stayed with the sisters there for the entire weekend of stake conference. That was a crazy adventure, but I know it was in God's hands. It was all supposed to happen. Things happened that otherwise wouldn't have, and I'm actually extremely grateful that things worked out the way they did. As Christ beautiful taught in Matthew, God will never give us bad gifts. It isn't in his nature. Things happen for our good. I love Him and trust Him, and that's sometimes all we can do!
You are the best!!
Sister Ingalls
