Note from Jul 16: Our pday has been changed to tomorrow because of transfer day now being on Monday. We are both staying!!🤩🎉 We are so excited and relieved haha! I'll talk to you tomorrow, I love you both!
Maaawwwwwwmmmm! (July 17)
Oh man I'm tired haha! An 8 day work week including the craziness of transfers takes a toll on me, I'm not feeling so great today. But that's okay because I get to write you! But my writing skills and content might be influenced by my tiredness just a heads up hahah.
That beautiful, sunshine sounds great! We've had interesting weather here the past week. It's either really sunny and hot or it poured rain or it was windy and cold! Like make up your mind mother nature! The nice thing is its nice every morning so we are always able to go out for a run, that's a perk.
What are Rockports? Are those my brown shoes you called my granny shoes?! Those are absolutely destroyed! That girl said they'd last my whole mission but I don't think she took into account I walk everywhere. I see group emails of my friends in the states and their shoes or clothes never look battered because they are always in cars! lame! They look like they are in a fashion shoe, and here I am just trying to keep the soles on my "missionary-grade" shoes haha! Ohh I love it.
The Twins game sounds so fun! Yeah, I don't know why they were intimidated by you, you're just a really funny little pip squeak! I'm glad you could have a good time with Dad. Its important to still go on dates and spend good quality time together, so I'm glad you did some fun stuff this week.
I totally want to hold all of those adorable little babies in the Blaine ward.. its so funny, our ward mission leader has a young family, boy and girl. You see pictures of adorable little Amelia all the time, we are pals. But now I have to be careful. You know when you bend down to pet a dog and then it jumps on you and licks you and is all crazy? Well, the similar happens with Amelia, minus the licking. She keeps climbing all over me and she's a strong little thing and will not get off! Its so funny and I secretly totally love it, but I promise I'm trying to get her off of me! I love the little kids in the ward.
You betcha that bulletin board looks awesome! It all started with the cool small binder in Relief Society that you started. You have good ideas! Its funny how I find myself becoming more creative. I think mine is more problem solving and inventing a little, whereas I still haven't developed the "making everything look cute and perfect" talent like you. For example, our bananas were going bad so easily, so I found a way to hang them from an upper cupboard down to a normal height and they are great! Or planning. I don't know. I feel like I've just learned so much and developed so many talents! I even accompany on the piano pretty often, like I did this last Sunday! It was a bit rough but I did it!
I have to say a double thanks for the Lara bars! Yesterday we went to the Fischers for FHE again, and I brought a few of those with. We talked about genealogy and br Fischer showed his family tree and shared some stories, it was really good! This family is like our family. I think I've told you about them before, but brother Fischer is no longer a member. We don't know much of the reason why, but we've developed a relationship with him. He is like our dad! He even says it sometimes too haha! They are the best, we love them. He opens up a little bit more every time. He loves teasing us too, but he was visibly so relieved when we said we were both staying so the teasing is all jus a little façade. I'm so grateful for this family. They just love us and feed us delicious healthy food and take care of us and tell us to come over whenever we have a bad day (and we don't so then they just invite us over haha!) I've really enjoyed getting close to them.
I feel like the rest I can tell in the group email or in a voice recording haha! Oh I'm so sorry I'm really trying to keep writing lots of things to read but its just getting hard. My weeks are similar and at the same time super exciting!! I love this work with my whole heart, I'm giving it everything I've got!
I love it here, I love focusing on my Savior. Thank you for giving me this wonderful chance to serve and raising me in a way to help me make the decision for myself. I love you!
